Exterior view of the Royal College of Surgeons from inside Stephen’s Green. Traffic consists of a horse-drawn open carriage, a man on horseback, and assorted pedestrians. Other figures include a man leaning on a park bench beside a seated woman holding the hand of a child with a toy cart, another couple and a woman with a parasol. These fashionably dressed figures, with their tall hats, elaborate bonnets and fine accessories, depict elegant city activity in the centre of Dublin. <br>This print was incorporated by Miss Hammill into her diary of travels in Wales and Ireland (1828-1829). It appeared, without date, in G.N. Wright's <em>Ireland Illustrated</em> (1831) and Wakeman's <em>Dublin Delineated</em>, both of which contain other plates individually dated between 1828 and 1831. <br><br>Sources: <br>Rosalind M.
