About 4 miles from Ballyhac & 1 mile out of the road is Dunbroady Abbey one of the finest structures of this sort that I saw in Ireland. The Western window is very remarkable for its ornaments which have a good effect. The Abbey stands pleasantly upon the banks of the Ross river. Near it are the remains of an old castle, & a gentleman’s seat surrounded with plantations a little beyond it. [Unpaginated]
