Three ladies - presumably the author's travelling companions - sitting around a flat stone, enjoying a picnic on the ruins of a building at Devil's Glen. On the table, we see a bottle of sherry - the author of the text highlights this as very characteristic. Next to the table, we see a picnic basket and an umbrella. Behind them, the circular ruin is probably that of the 'Moss House' that they set out to find, but found in ruins. Around them, we see some trees and rock formations.
