Biographical Notes	Hoare, Richard Colt, Sir, 1758-1838. British landowner, antiquarian and traveler. After the early death of his wife, he traveled around Europe; a written account of his journeys appeared later as 'Recollections abroad: journals of tours on the continent, 1785–1791'. He became an accomplished antiquarian and a respected scholar.
