| Biographical Notes | Printer and writer, born Exeter, England son of a tailor. He moved to London where he spent most of his career. He wrote books on printing, the history of printing, conchology, guides to England and Wales and he was co-author of A Tour through Ireland in Several Entertaining Letters (1748) with Willian Rufus Chetwood, and several other works on Ireland, partly original, partly compiled. |
